We have today, received reports of new scams within our area.
The first one relates to no-reply emails relating to the Dartford Crossing charge - if you have booked to use the crossing, do not open no-reply emails with xls attachments. For more information follow this link.
The second one is a phone 'vishing' scam. The caller inform you that you have been placed in the wrong council tax bracket and are entitled to a rebate and asks for your bank details. Follow this link for more information.
Remember - never give callers your bank details over the phone unless under these circumstances.
