A warm West Farleigh welcome to Louise Witby
This week I had the very great pleasure of meeting the utterly charming Louise Witney who has just moved from Lower Road to Rookery Row with her fiancé, Phil, a stalwart of Maidstone’s Fire Brigade.
Louise is a fully qualified and very experienced psychotherapist working from a comfortable and well-appointed treatment centre on the London Road.
Her UKCP accreditation gives her scope to offer an impressively wide range of therapies from one-to-one personal consultations to family and relationship difficulties and she also offers group work sessions. In what little spare time she has, she also holds workshops with existing practitioners and mentors new students.
I was interested to hear that Louise is particularly keen to providing a service to the teens to twenties group – the in-betweeners, who are particularly susceptible to the burden put upon them by peer pressure and the dispassionate eye of social media. “Tweeting and facebook can put vulnerable and self-conscious people under a great deal of stress and I would like to be able to show them some simple and effective strategies on how to cope with and rise above the pressure they are exposed to.” She says.
If you would like more information about Louise’s practise and the therapies she can offer, you can visit her website at www.maidstonetherapy.co.uk or email her at louise.witney@me.com. She is incredibly understanding!
