December 2025 - An Unexpected Sight in the Skies Above West Farleigh

Posted on 1st December, 2025

With our usual contributor Ray taking a break this month we have a short story about an unexpected sight in the skies above West Farleigh.

‘Twas the night before Christmas and Heath Road was free from lorries brushing the hedges. Not even an Evri delivery driver was in sight. Suddenly out of nowhere the North Pole’s most famous resident dashed across the night sky in his iconic one-horse open sleigh fronted by none other than Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. He had a very shiny nose, and believe me if you see it, you will agree it really does glow.

Behind Rudolph was Dasher, the fastest of the reindeer; Dancer, graceful and elegant; Prancer, similar to Dancer; Vixen, charming and attractive; Comet, the strongest of the lot and highly loyal; Cupid, the matchmaker; Donner, strong and dependable and lastly Blitzen, fast and agile.

Sleigh bells were ringing and a jolly voice was heard to say Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!
