Supermarket Car Park theft

As posted on our Facebook page we have received a report of a theft from Tesco car park at Tovil.  The informants mum shopped there at lunchtime and returned to her car which was parked at the bottom end of the car park. An Eastern European man approached her after she was about to leave and asked her to go to the other side of the car as he had noticed someone had scratched her car when parking. As she did this another Eastern Europe man got in her car and stole her purse. After speaking with various fraud offices this afternoon, apparently this is a very common distraction technique that is used in supermarket car parks when people especially the elderly return to their cars. Local police have also been informed.
