Protect your property during the summer

Posted on 6th June, 2016

Keep your belongings safe during the summer

We have learned that a number of items have been stolen recently from gardens: from solar lights to garden furniture to a ride-on lawn mower.  Don't tempt fate by leaving your possessions in the garden during these warm summer nights, lock them away if you can. Ladders have also been stolen from the roof of a van - make sure yours are securely clamped with chains as well as roof clamps which can be removed with bolt cutters.

There have also been reportings of men driving a silver van acting suspiciously in and around the area. There is nothing specific that can be reported to the police, mainly dodgy behaviour ie one lays in the road pretending to be ill - if you ignore him he will just get up and climb into the silver van.

If you have any information on the stolen property listed above please email us at editor@farleighevents.com and we will provide you with the crime number.
